About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Tina and this is my outlet to share what I am most passionate about – fashion.

I moved to Chicago in 2013 with my husband, bought a house, had a baby and started a business. My life in the last five years has changed immensely and thought to start this blog to share my interests and my journey living in the mid west.

I love clothes that have a sense of humor, are interesting, sustainable and timeless. I love design and its process and try to look for inspiration all around me to bring its element into my daily life, even if that means admiring it from a far.

If you’re reading this, I want to say thank you! I appreciate you stopping by and feel free to comment below or email me at lapetiteamerican@gmail.com if you have any questions. In the meantime, below are some general favorite things that might help give you some insight about who I am.

This is not an easy question to answer. I love anything that is interesting to look at, it doesn’t even have to be a particularly good movie just visually stimulating with interesting costumes, sets, locations, etc.

Movies that are not so husband friendly such as Cleopatra, Moulin Rouge!, My Fair Lady, The Fifth Element, etc. to husband friendly movies such as any of the superhero, space galaxy movies coming out every six months (hello gorgeous costumes and sets!).

I also love a good fashion documentary and fashion tv programs such as Project Runway and The Fashion Fund. I just recently saw Dior and I and LOVED it!
